Every year, selected fashion pieces simmer up before taking the world by storm. There are numerous elements that give rise to a trend (starting all the way from the runway working its way down to fast fashion stores and the influencer wave) factored by the ever changing consumption demand and patterns. While last year’s year defining trends included the femme fatale burgundy, the timeless leopard print and even the impractical bubble skirt (it’s hard to feel like yourself while looking like a cupcake), this year is looking more optimistic when it comes to wearable trends. Let’s decode this year’s fashion trends, so you can elevate your wardrobe strategically.
1. The Stylish Suede: Since bohemian chic has come into play again, suede is going to play a major role in adding that polished and sophisticated element to this free-spirited aesthetic. Suede is making a comeback - ranging from bags to footwear – in all its glory to bring in the earthy, vintage element back again (and I am are ready for it!)

2. More is More: 2024 was all about being “mindful” and “demure” (the clean girl aesthetic) that whispered quiet luxury, however 2025 is set to head in the opposite direction - towards Maximalism. This year is screaming loud luxury – consider huge, vibrant monogram detailing, big and bold prints served on sumptuous fabric. While leopard print dominated 2024, more fun animal prints are set to arrive to have their moment in 2025.

3. Elevated athleisure – Who says you can’t be in trend while being comfortable? If you’re someone who hates hopping in on fashion trends, this one’s a no-brainer! While athleisure has been gaining popularity since 2024, 2025 is set to go all in on cute sportswear in elevated fabrics. So bring out your favourite yoga pants (or sweat pants) and pair it with a jumper for that comfy yet put-together look.

4. Modern revival of Polos– Polo shirts, traditionally known for their “old money” vibe arising from men’s sportswear, are seen to be making a shift into women’s fashion. This timeless piece has been adopted and tweaked for a more feminine expression - fitted silhouettes along with some cropped versions for the modern look.

5. Did someone say Bohemian? – Something about flowy fabrics and boho chic just go hand-in-hand. With runway brands like Dior, Fendi sneaking in Tulle wrapped clothes (dresses, tops), sheer fabrics and lace, we can tell that this spring/summer season is about bringing forward the soft breeze of femininity after the street style takeover last year.
